Each entry will have their allotted time on stage to showcase their talents! Each participant will receive a medal. Top 3 in each category will receive a trophy. Music must be sent in clearly labelled by June 20th. Choreography MUST be that of the students and not any previous class work or Elite team solos.

Students may enter 

Solos - performance 2min max  £7 each entry

Duo/Trios - 2min max £4 Each entry

Group dances (4 or more people) 3 min max £4 each entry

What our judge will be looking for-

Originality and Artistry - Unique and innovative choreography, interpretation of the music, story telling, overall performance and own style

(Choreography must be the style of dance entered - If entering a Jazz category the choreography must reflect that. )

Technique - Stretched legs, pointed feet, correct alignment, good posture) Dancers should execute movements with clarity and control showcasing their technical ability

Musicality - The ability to stay on time with the beat of the music. For more advanced dancers we are looking for the ability to synchronise choreography and music to enhance the emotional impact.

Space - Judge will evaluate how well you use the space and stage

Presentation and Performance - Judges will consider the dancers posture,poise and overall appearance as well as their stage presence and performance. Dancer must wear dance wear or costume. No extra marks will be given for costumes towards placings, however dancers will be awarded marks for neat presentation (Clean tidy dance wear, hair neat ect)

 

Competitors can enter as many routines as they wish and in as many styles as they want

 

Whilst this is a competition, this is also an opportunity for our young dancers to get creative and showcase their talents. Each dancer will be praised and given some feedback to help them continue to flourish and grow.  ALL ABILITIES are not only welcomed but encouraged to take part.

 

Spectator bands £5 (These last all day)
